But, but...Islam is the religion of peace!!! Yeah, right!

Mike, we all know that to these leftist tards like Moore, Kos, Atrios, Kerry, Murtha and their anti-American loser fans who the great evil in the world is: George W. Bush, and the entire United States. This is one reason elections are important.

There are a lot of stupid people in the world, Mike...and these stupid people support and agree 100% with the people I mentioned above.

I see your point. I agree with a lot of it. I also notice that this seems to barely be a blip on any major news outlets.

I guess what I'm getting a little tired of is the selective outrage. I think everyone (short of Michelle Malkin) was outraged that the behavior of the troops in Haditha, but we all spoke up about it. We all said "If it is true, shame on them".

Yet, if I go to any of the websites you've listed about, I won't see a single story, post, or thought or even sympathy for those 4 people who were taken from their families and friends. I guess it just isn't worth the effort to talk about those people if there is no political advantage to be gained from talking about it.

Put a different "uniform" on the murderers... and all of a sudden those killings become something that is stomach turning and disgusting.

Politics in this country has become so disingenuous

You are partly right. I don't think the leftist news outlets make that big a deal out of Americans who get butchered, either. Sure, they report it because they're Americans, but read the article I posted ("Pardon me, but your moral relativism is showing) - compare how the MSM uses words like "brutality" instead of torture when reporting about the two American soldiers. Yes, the dumbass military at Abu Grahib "tortured" the prisoners.

btw, your initial post is almost exactly what I was thinking the other day when I saw the story about the Russians.

I'll give you a better response later, but I'm adding you now.

For the record, I am right of center on spending all sorts of money on this country, but I'm left of center on social issues. I've come to the realization that both political parties seem full of crap to me.

My posts aren't very political anymore, but I do try to share my life experiences and observations with people. I don't get many replies any more, but that may be because I haven't had a lot of new peole.

Anyways, my name is Michael, and it is nice to meet you.

Sounds a lot like me. I mean, I'm pretty conservative politically, but then I live in what was, until recently, the gayest, most alternative community in all of Texas -- and I liked it better BEFORE they started "cleaning it up!" I'm a devout Christian, and yet my best friends are utter rapscallions! I recently made a comment in a friend's journal about the absurdity of negotiating with terrorists... someone assumed, from certain references, that I wouldn't know a work of art from a hole in the ground and that I DESPERATELY needed to be introduced to Playboy. I informed them that I run a Yahoo group for local (Houston) artists and art fans, and that 90% of my sex education was gleaned from my grandfather's porn collection over 20 years ago! I guess I just defy description -- and I LIIIIIIIIKE it!

Oh, and my name is Aly. I pron. it "ollie," rather than "alley." And if you haven't figured it out from my previous comment, I'm a certified Drama Queen!
