Thanks for posting here! Now and then this poor neglected community pops into my mind and I feel guilty for not doing more with it. But I guess it's just a general LJ downward spiral more than anything, you know?

I dig these as a nature lover, of course! The monkeys look soft enough to touch, and that second one does have a wistful feel. Glad that owlet was spotted again in better shape. Sad about its eye, I wonder what happened. Hopefully that won't put it at too much of a disadvantage for hunting.

Strange about the bokeh on different systems, I wonder what that's about? Issues of color space and monitor calibration aside, it seems like a photo should look the same across the board, unless different codecs handle the jpg compression differently, somehow?

I am very happy with my 6D. I'm experimenting with a Rebel SL1 with a 75-300 and getting some very odd results. It seems like in some situations the SL1 is producing better images.

I don't know what to think about the bokeh. I know photos look radically different on a Mac, but this was really striking. My iMac is not calibrated beyond how it came from the factory, so it's pretty much straight stock. What I should do is print it on my color laser and see what it looks like.... Maybe I'll do it in the morning, I gotta get to bed.
