Wow! Those are beautiful. It looks like a beautiful place. And the subject matter is pretty cool too. I don't mean the clouds.

Was the blue flare on the second picture intentional? At least I think it's flare. Shooting into the sun is tough, and flare can be used very creatively, But the color of it distracted me.

Thank you. Are you talking about the blue flare in the trees just above the rail? I edited these (quickly) on a 15" laptop and did not notice it, but now that I'm looking at them on my 27" desktop, I see it.

I'm not sure what that is. I see the edge of the roof of the support building through that strut, so I'm guessing it's a light related to that. I agree, it is kinda distracting, I'll see if I can remove it.

The aerial mast that's just above the trees is part of a weather station: I don't recall any blue lights associated with that.

What's amazing is that not only is shooting in to the sun tough, so is shooting in to the moon. That's a full moon through light clouds. The telescopes are not open when the sun is up: sunlight hitting the mirrors really screws with the optical alignment.

Yes, the blue spot right above the rail, looking closer at it, it looks like it might be a relfection off something.

That's the moon?!!! Holy cow, that's amazing, sorry, I thought it was the sun. Wow!

Yeah, I shot these around 10pm. It was a nice 50F-ish with a good breeze, great sweatshirt weather. My wife accused me of being a wimp, but I'm from Phoenix and I didn't snark at her for not handling heat well.

It's interesting flipping through the photo series, seeing the cloud movement. Once piece of gear that I really need is an intervalometer, aside from leaving the camera cabled to my laptop. I should see if there's an app that can do it since my 6D has WiFi, maybe I could do interval shooting via my iPhone....
