Shonda the Politician?

alright, perhaps I actually should get into politics, but how...where does one start? I cant write letters tothe paper and letters to senate and the house forever...I want more, I want to do more, I want to make a difference...but how?

And I am serious.

Talk to more people. Go to more local government meetings. Find an old friend who ran for Congress, or anyone else you know with connections, and just kinda start playing that field a little. I'm sure I'll be looking to get involved more significantly in the next few years too... eventually.

It's a matter of having ideas and being able to communicate them to people. If you can get people to listen, you have a good shot... because the rest should take care of itself.

Get heavy involved in the local scene, making a name of recognition. City Council and the like are the best starting points. Afterwards, a shift to being a Mayor or Party Leadership role in your district. Depending on how much of a presence you've built, State Congress. The sky is the limit after that.
