The bad daughter that I am; I normally do not read a lot of the emails sent to me by my mom. Mostly because they are forwards of stuff and even though I have asked her not to send those, she still does. I got this last week and finally got around to reading it. Thanks for sharing that! I look forward to reading what WY is doing with their $$$$.

I did read in a local newspaper here a few weeks ago that WY is not going to be accepting all of the $$$ set aside for the state. It doesn't see the need for some of the ridiculous 'projects' that have come up.

Our governor also skipped a lot of the money that was provided due to the stipulations that were inbeded into it as well.

The Chattanooga airport sucks. Does Cleveland really need a private plane air strip? I'm with you on that one. They really need to throw some money into the Chattanooga airport instead.

Nashville is not on that list at all. Richard told me that some of that stimulus money was supposed to finish the overpass at White Bridge/Briley/I-40. Um they really need to finish that.

We have a very small airport that allows for prop planes, private flyers, etc. There isn't much need but because of the mayor (Tom is such an idiot, he also wants Amtrack to run through Cleveland, yeah, because there is such a need for it. . .). Chattanooga's airport is the way it is due to the declining number of air travelers leaving from Chattanooga. When I used to fly out of there in 93, 94 the planes were MD80s, etc. We had a choice of airlines as well. Then more and more people opted to fly out of Atlanta, Nashville and Knoxville due to travel choices and cost.

Yep, I would like to see the overpass be completed but apparently that just wanted on the top of the to do list in terms of projects.

Our newspaper reports on tons of ours, but honestly, I'm with ya....irritates me quite a bit.
