Heh, I thought you might find it funny that I did end up reading Fairy Tail in its entirety a few weeks ago. I saw this manifesto, and came to read because it seemed interesting, only to find that I had read it once before.

I didn't end up being a Gray/Juvia shipper, per say, but I do like them, and I ship them intellectually, if that makes sense. What cinched it for me was simple, really.

On Juvia's part, Gray accepts her, quirks and all. He is the one person she never needed to prove herself to. He sees the worst parts of Juvia, but always believes the best of her, and that's incredibly touching for someone as isolated as Juvia was growing up.

For Gray, it's more ephermal, I think. I can't really pin it down exactly, but Gray just reacts differently to Juvia than to others -- he's gentler, for want of a better word, without that edge of aggression and defiance he has around other people. I'd almost suspect that she is the first person he feels protective over, who really wants it.

Either way, the manga has been so great to them.

Hello! I love your summary on Gray and Juvia (or whatever you like to call it, LOL) but one thing that has always been playing in the back of my mind is something you didn't mention. I hope you don't mind me giving my own output for the two of them as well. :) You mentioned that there are 3 reasons for why Gray responded to Erza but I believe there are 4

Well, I shared the link on a french FT forum and many peoples asked me to translate it because their english is very bad, so did I.

And I read this morning the chapter 321 as I had just finished the translation, my heart beat doki-doki~ I'm so looking forward to see the naval battle and chap 298 animated *0*

I just updated it with chapter 321 stuff like I said I would. Though after this I don't think I can update it anymore due to the damn word limit that I've reached. :( The next chapter is probably very epic, so I may have to take out the color spreads and chapters and put them in another entry on my own LJ instead and just link them here. We will see what happens....

WOW. How long did that take you!? Those people on that forum must bow at your feet now. I seriously am honored. That reminds me of when my Naruto/Hinata manifesto was translated into Spanish... xD They have the link to the original manifesto though? Maybe some of them can read English too. I can't read French at all.... ^^; I trust you!
