This is a really nice insight into this point of Sam's life that hurts so much.

I especially love this description: Your father doesn’t notice because he’s too busy looking past you into the eyes of the monster that killed your mother. Ouch. So perfect.

That line is amazing, as is this whole piece, so lyrical and full of longing. I'm afraid I can see why it didn't cheer you up, as it made me tear up, but it's beautiful, anyway. Thanks.

Oh, this is gorgeous. I love these G- or PG-rated, pre-Wincest fics where one or both of them is trying to deal with their feelings for the other one. Even better if it's pre-series.
