Now that's what I call Birthday Candles!

We observed my birthday today. Still I don't tend to get excited about such things, but Mom made me chicken with dumplings and brownies, which were tasty. She had already told me that my classes were my birthday present, already enjoying those. Dad gave me $30 for whatever I'd like (he doesn't like buying gifts and isn't confident about it); ( Read more... )

Heee! I'm glad you like them. I thought those might have been hints you were dropping, the past couple times you'd visited. ;)

I gotta admit, the conversation seemed a little oppressive at times today, but I had a good time anyway. ;)

Yeah, I noticed you looking unhappy a few times in the conversation, so I'm sorry about that, but glad you had a good time anyway. ^_~

Have to burn what's in my votive holder now so I can start on those Gothic candles. ^_~

And tomorrow is the Columbia trip, so I can get myself some more incense. Would you want me to look for cones for you?

They do okay until they decide to start joking around about things. Then they forget who they're talking to, and suddenly it's wildly ignorant views on gender, and talking about how someone online could really be a guy pretending to be a woman, and all other manner of head-deskisms.

(As an aside, Dad busted out the "In Christ there is neither male nor female" on me when he was here alone that one time. -_-;; I've since realized that Jesus didn't say that, Paul did, and I'm not sure even he meant what Dad wanted it to. I am armed and ready to do battle!)

Re the incense, you can if you like; I haven't really looked into it to know what kinds or anything like that, but that's the kind that seems like it'd fit on an altar the best.

Home from Columbia now! I did get you some incense cones to try; some of them even came with little holders you can use until you get one you like. One of the shops there also had that Tarot deck you've been wanting so long, and I knew you were getting impatient, so... (I'll be headed to your Library again Tuesday so I can drop stuff off then. Mom asked if I planned to wait and wrap it for Christmas, hinting that maybe I should, but I don't see any point in holding out on you until then...)

I bought myself incense too, and a copy of the Tao Te Ching (Kati ended up with that and I've been wanting one). Also got what I needed for my classwork I think. Managed not to get lost in the library, despite a certain temptation. ^_~
