During a case Sherlock and John have to, at some point, pretend they are a couple. No problem, hardly weirder than dressing up like ninjas, and they solve the case, nab the bad guy, and are basically awesome as usual.

The only thing is that Sherlock's persona used a lot of endearments when they were pretending to be together. Things like 'babe' or 'love' or 'doll' and what have you. And even though the case is over now he can't stop using them no matter how hard he tries. They just keep slipping out. John is seriously disturbed by this. And really wishes the little warm feeling the names give him would fuck off because the situation is awkward enough as it is.

BUT no slash, ust, or romance of any kind. It's just Sherlock's epic bro love for John manifesting itself inappropriately. As usual.
