I'm actually not a fan of Kramer (even before his machinations in the S.3 finale, I didn't trust him), but this set-up was very credible. Best parts were the examinations of Neal's character.

Well, I wouldn't call myself Kramer's fan either... I had mixed feelings about him after Countdown, and while I don't hate him, he's not exactly my favorite character right now. But for the purpose of this story, I wrote him as a neutral character.

Okay, so apologies for not reviewing earlier. Like I said, I think I binge read it one night and probably ended at 2 a.m. when I wasn't so clear headed. I originally didn't read this eons ago because I was tired of reading fics where Kramer abuses Neal. But this was anything but that! It really was beautiful, focusing and addressing so much that they never did on the show. Mainly, Peter and Neal finally reconciling their trust issues and how they should have handled things. Plus Neal's loyalty. He really never wanted to be put in that situation ( ... )
