Books I want to read

My friend B has a goal of reading 30 books in a year.  I am always so impressed by the width and breadth of what she reads.  Her list plus my book club has really heightened my desire to read a wide variety of books this year.  Instead of counting pages (which is hard to do on the Kindle) or setting a goal,  I thought I would just ask for some

i haven't read a non-rom book in so long, i haven't anything to recommend (tho i read the kite runner a year or two ago and it is very good, along with his second book, a thousand splendid suns, but both are a-box-o-kleenex-apiece sad).
