YES! I like you.

And god you know I'm going to do a peanut allergy thing eventually, because I'm a hideous person and he must suffer in all possible ways.

This is the way I ship Wincest, honestly. I think the tension is definitely THERE but I don't believe they'd ever act on it (because, honestly? Sam is too straight and Dean is too afraid of ruining what they have) and I kind of love it as just another aspect of how ridiculous codependent and screwed up they are, and I think that's canon.

Thank you so, SO much. I will not stop.

You are like my brain twin. That's pretty much exactly how I feel about wincest.

And if by hideous person you mean wonderful, then YES, because all the wonderful people I know continuously torture Sammy.

It makes sense to me, that if you can go off-course into slightly AU by giving Sam asthma, then it's just a nudge further to have Dean and Sam actually see each other in the Stanford days.

I'm normally not a fan of AUs in SPN, but I do make exceptions for brilliant writers!

I don't usually like them either! So I'm having emotional crises about it!

What I'm going to try to do is have Dean see a lot less of him the more serious he gets with Jess. Not for any real REASON, just because Sam's busy and spending more time with Jess's family and Dean starts going on hunts alone, so they lose touch a little. I think that makes sense and kiiiiinda works with canon? So I'm playing with Sam's freshman and sophomore years, basically.

Anyway. Thank you. :)

SO SWEET AND WONDERFUL AND HEARTBREAKING AND WONDERFUL.

I think the bit that got me the most was realizing that they really hadn't even been on a rollercoaster. Because they were both so EXCITED, and cocky, and delighted, and then it was like "Oh, crap", and yet wonderful at the same time.

I also love Sam's badass memory. Yes, Dean, Sam remembers all of that. But you've got it wrong because you regularly forget how awesome you are if it will make the people around you look better. LOVE.

Though, with all good fic that includes Jessica, I now want her...and Sam...and Dean ALL TOGETHER AND HAPPY AND FAMILY. Because they definitely all deserve it.

And John too (he, too, deserves commentary). A sneaky bastard in all the right not-quiet-right ways. Ah, John. Always, you are concerned, and it's just hurting everyone.

I have a thing for Jessica right now that I can't really explain, but my brain can't yet handle having her and Dean in the same room yet. Hopefully I'll get there.

I'm writing something right now where John is kind of awesome! Still stupid and John about it, but in a way that makes it obvious that he loves his boys...and I'm having a reaaaally fun time contrasting how Dean thinks about his kid with how John thinks about his.

So glad you liked this, thank you so much.

Mwahahah, I'm just happy about more of all of them.

Yeah, John loves his sons. He just...never seems capable of showing this in a way that isn't crushing and a little damaging to them at the same time. *frowns at him while patting him sympathetically at the same time*

I love John as a character. I'm so fucking fascinated, especially with the dynamic between him and Sam, because I just...I think he loves Sam so much more than he loves Dean, honestly, and I think that's such a painful thing for all three of them.

Thank you for actually writing a story where they're having FUN. GAH. I loved it. Because in the show, the events going on around them all the time are so horrible that when they do catch a break it's still a really tense situation that they can't ignore for long. But here they were just out to enjoy themselves, and they're such guys, oh my gosh, I adored it. And of course it's all made better by the h/c deliciousness that you wove in expertly.
I loved the bit with the roller coaster stream of consciousness.
The only thing I was a little confused about was the whole bit about "You know why." Was this supposed to have Wincest undertones or was it more of a bro-love-trumps-everything-even-if-some-people-misconstrue-that-as-something-else type deal? Because I get the overwhelming sense of family between them in everything you've written, this one included. At any rate, it's open to interpretation, and on the whole you did an incredible job with this.

Oooo, this totally answered the question that I was too nervous (you know, the old worry of was this OBVIOUS and I missed it? Don't-want-to-come-across-as-an-idiot thing). And this reply is utterly satisfying. *nods decisively*

no no you should totally have asked! read the author's note :P It's no fun writing if you don't get to talk about it, right?
