I liked it! Will reserve judgment on the reconciliation until I actually see it -- I suspect that things won't be hunky dory between the boys for a while yet.
I liked Cas and Crowley more than usual this week, and loved both the guest stars (Cain and the hunter chick).
I did have a quibble or two with the ep, but the fact that Sam stripped down to a T-shirt for an injection that was going in his neck just below his ear... well, that was all kinds of A-OK with me! Sometimes things don't have to make sense to make me happy! ;D
I think my main quibble was with the Sam-n-Cas scenes. (I was sad to see Tara killed, but as I didn't have time to get emotionally invested in her, I can hand-wave her unexpected carelessness in not fixing the devil's trap, and mourn her demise without being disappointed
( ... )
Tara was a throwaway character - and those tend to irritate me that they are so throwaway due to supposed carelessness. I can't say I was attached, but I wouldn't have minded if there had been a different reason for her dying.
And I get that maybe Cas is trying to discuss this from Sam's POV and Sam does carry a lot of guilt, but I honestly don't think that Sam has made any more mistakes than Dean has and it irritated me to suggest that he has.
Thank you! I actually winced through the whole conversation and the 'butbutbut' rattling through my head while appreciating how Sam wears a T-shirt (I can multitask) and while I was grateful Cas brought up his own mistakes - which mistake is too soft a word for his actions - since Sam needed his own actions put in some kind of perspective since he just chews on them forever, I couldn't get past the idea that Sam's mistakes were somehow worse.
What's the quote 'the road to hell is paved with good intentions'? Might have mangled it but if it's close Winchesters would be the illustration that goes along with it. Just once I'd like to see these guys back off from something so obviously 'danger, danger! Back away slowly' kind of warning bells.
Heh... wouldn't be SPN then, would it.:D
Ooo... Looking forward to seeing if you're right next week. That makes total sense.
Hug... I think you're right there too. I don't recall them ever getting it right before this one.

What were your quibbles? Not that I didn't have any myself. Can't even call it quibbles, but more something that didn't twang just right.:)
Castiel and Crowley - I'm appreciating them in a different way which makes the show more enjoyable overall.
His collar would've gotten in the way! I adore those not make sense things.
I am curious as to where this is going.
