Genealogy updates

So, it took a bit, but I figured out how to clean up my census citations. I think the multiple upgrades to FTM software (and not cleaning the citations up each time) is the root of my problem. I know how to fix them -- but it will require a lot of work. I will still have to re-do many of the searches. That is not a bad thing, given that in the ( Read more... )

Well, if some of the British Isles stuff was invaded by Vikings, that might account for a lot of the Scandinavian...

But yea, 90% is a lot...

The German from my father's line is from the Pomerania section of Prussia/Germany. Not too far from the Baltic sea and could be the result of Scandinavian types settling in there somehow. And there is the unknown of my great-grandfather.

And in the possible kinship matches some of the people shown have British Isles percentages.

Part of me thought it might come up with something weird. I get people asking me all the time if I have Native American ancestry.

I used their little feedback form, and one of the preset options for feedbackw as ethnicity results, so I think they knw that there is some weird stuff going on. We'll see if it gets updated at all.
