Region Locking

Region locking sucks. My DVD drive on my Linux box no longer shows up on the IDE channels, no idea why. So I put one of my movies into my work laptop... and PowerDVD asked me if I wanted to change the region of my DVD player to Europe. Then I noticed that I can only changed the region three more times after this change

VLC doesn't check the region code at all, and works reasonably well in the Windows distribution too.
