It's not been a great week. So i sold some dvds i no longer watch (sold 8 at Pulp, got £30) and with the last £20 of my benefit money, i decided to buy the new Doctor Who series 1 boxset from MVC for £49.99 (cheapest price i found in town)...so tonight will be spent indulging my nerdy Doctor Who fanaticism (feel free to think i'm a sad bastard).  ( Read more... )

Days slithering through the ether, the trust i earnt now crawling
along for dear life, no more retreating into a child's reactions.
Mistakes; empty sentiments that sit and govern, iron fists and golden
handshakes, leafing through the wreckage of a lifetime - bittersweet
but pitiful compensation.

If only my (somewhat brief) contentment wouldn't have the 'Cinderella' effect and disintegrate as the new day comes around.

Today's been quite a nice day (bar the fucking sub-zero temperatures), got my Christmas present all sorted out - a Rio Carbon 6gb MP3 player, £120 from Currys. A bargain considering a 4gb Ipod mini or Ipod Nano are £180!
It's silver, slimline and rather smart, i'm extremely pleased with it!

Some people you know for years. You trust them, respect them, defend them, confide in them and have many great times with them. Got very little sleep last night, probably about 2 hours. Not been the most pleasant of days but still, i'm meeting Lois for the day tomorrow so that should be fantastic, i'm always grateful of any chance i have of spending time with her. Feeling slightly more upbeat today, especially knowing Lois is visiting for the day on Tuesday, i can't wait to see her. It's so frustrating being 60 miles away from your best friend (due to her being at university).
