5. Off-world, it’s hard to solve insomnia without waking the rest of the team. A couple of times, Jack threatened to shoot him if he didn’t stop conjugating Mandarin verb tables out loud. Daniel was being quiet about it, far quieter than any sound Jack produced while actually asleep. He would point that out in the morning, quite frequently, and Jack would throw a case of earplugs at him so it bounced off his forehead

These are all really fantastic. #1 packs a wicked punch, especially because the edge follows a very-warm, fuzzy feeling that the first half inspires. #2 is so sweet and sad, and #5 cracked me up. 'God of Diapers!' indeed.
I've read more than a few fics that mention Jack being unable to sleep well during S6 because Daniel wasn't there snoring anymore -- it was really cool to see that turned around.

1. Anagrams. It was a game he played in school to keep himself alert, before his sixth grade teacher caught on that he was mentally checking out of all her lessons and gave him something a little interesting to do. (Dante’s Purgatorio, if he recalls correctly.) He never totally let the game go, eventually found himself doing it in especially pedantic symposium presentations and, later, numbingly boring briefings.
When he can’t sleep but didn’t want to get out of bed, he stares at the ceiling, running words and phrases over in his head until he found a good one. He likes the funny ones, the ones he can save for Jack or Sam or Teal’c, the best. ‘Eleven plus two’ becomes ‘twelve plus one’. ‘Conversation’ becomes ‘voices rant on.’ He realizes once that Jack O’Neill became ‘call joke in,’ and never does find something to top the appropriateness of that one.
2. He doesn’t work on it too often, but Daniel’s had the full text and photo-records of the Kryptos sculpture for years, and he pulls them up sometimes to look at when insomnia

1. Daniel stands in the doorway in pajama bottoms and bare feet and Jack says, “Can’t sleep?”
“Yeah. My brain just won’t… shut off.”
Daniel used to explain it further but they’ve short-handed it now. Jack will wave him over and they will be two grown men in the one bed and it should be all kinds of weird, but it isn’t. Daniel will lay down at a right-angle with his head on Jack’s stomach and Jack will mess his hands through Daniel’s hair while he tells Daniel about his parents, about Charlie, the pets he had growing up and the times he got injured in hockey

I like all of these - such a nice blend of hot and touching. I like the shift in Daniel's imagery in #1. #3 is funny. There's something touching about #2 how they know each other so well and that it's about more than just sex. Same with #4 - she goes to him, hoping that one day he'll come to her first. #5 was all hotness.

#5 - Yes. Just... yes. And God of Diapers. And Mitchell and Vala. And having trouble sleeping because Jack isn't there any more.
