Also, I think I'd miss OTT if we moved away from the sf_d "theme." Which is probably why I'm suggesting a free-for-all day.

I'd miss OTT as well so a free for all day sounds like a plan.

I'm fine with going from book to theme but I think we should limit it at some point books and movies, but not random episodes of television shows.

I voted for moderated posting because I've seen spotlighted communities get inundated with idiots.

Well, we do theme NOW. We just have that focus book. I don't want to get rid of a focus book, because I feel we'd stop being a book club, but I wanted to see what everyone else thought.

I like focusing on one book rather than a theme, but that's just me. A free-for-all post would be an awesome addition.

When we did that, we were lucky to get two posts (by me) and maybe five comments per month. It was so disheartening. Adding the theme has helped a bit.

Same here. I like having the flexibility, but at least there's something common for people to talk about so that everyone isn't posting about a different book.
