Yup! That's where I spend most of my time these days. Always loved ACD but the 09 movie started to suck me in and the BBC version has... consumed me a little. Heh.

Butter can indeed be used for lube, and was used before the modern era when Astroglide hadn't been invented yet. For that matter, lube is NOT always neccesary... some people have anal sex just fine without it.
