If you're a fan of grilled things, I highly recommend a Foreman (or generic equivalent) grill. I use mine all the time, for chops, steaks, burgers, fish, and pretty much anything that can be grilled. It cooks things very quickly since it grills both sides at the same time, and you can cook sensible portions. It will also encourage you toward low-fat cooking.

Lamb stew and bok choy both sound heavenly.

Hmmmm. I have a mini-sized Foreman that I haven't used in ages. Maybe I'll try pulling it back out again...

Also, bok choy is our #1 household veggie. (Which is kind of funny because neither of us ate it prior to meeting one another. Still, it's nice to have a vegetable to agree on!) It goes in everything. Soup: check! Stir fry: check! Side dish: check!

Gotta love bok choy.

I taught myself how to cook when I was in grad school so I would have something else to focus on every day besides my research. Also so I wasn't spending $50 a week on takeout. It's a useful skill to have!

That's awesome. I also didn't cook much before moving in with Matt. Now I enjoy it.
