Morning full of watching, amusing and distracting the one-year-old daughter of some friends. She has recently started walking, and so requires teamwork. Charming though. What a weekend. It started out as just a trip to Dublin for a business meeting. It ended up with my being kidnapped and taken to a festival of Celtic culture and sports for a bank holiday weekend. This was in Carlingford, a village almost on the border with Northern Ireland ( Read more... )

The Girl has gone home to Ireland, leaving me alone and aching. We had such a good time, perhaps the best time we've ever had together, but it was over far too soon. And now there's an endless space between my arms. 

By the ribs of the neon tiger, I am tired. Worked very late, got up at 6am and went straight back to it. I only get that mad when I'm on the home run of something, and in this case it was the website of a theater company called the Gombeens*. They are, quite literally, a bunch of clowns.
