Massu: Konban-Masuda-Takahiiiiits! This is NEWS’ Masuda Takahisa. How are you all this Friday evening? Today, September 14, is the birthday of Isono Namihei-san. And it’s also his twin brother Isono Umihei-san’s birthday. (Characters from Sazae-san) The age is forever 54. He is eien no 54. (ref. Vampire wa Kaku katariki. I was anticipating this HAHA xD) And by the way, Sazae-san is 24. So she’s younger than me. Two years younger than me. Sazae-san’s younger than me. And Masuo-san is 28. Masuda-san will be catching up with Masuo-san in two years. I see~. And maybe before I know it, I’ll be catching up with Namihei-san. He’s like a grandpa already, but when you say 54, it doesn’t seem like a grandpa age at all, right? Now that you think about it. it’s like, “Ehhhh~”, right?
So now, I would like to introduce some mails. First is from Miku-Miku-chan: “When it’s hot, it’s nice to eat cold tomatoes, ne? Do you like mini tomatoes or the big tomatoes?”
I see… I really like cutting up the big tomatoes and put salt and eat it. Well I think everyone puts salt on tomatoes, but in our family, we put sugar. We put pretty a lot, I guess? As for that, I think I prefer big tomatoes to put sugar on. So the big tomatoes.
This is Masuda Takahisa on Master Hits from Bayfm keeping you company ‘til 11:30pm.
This week’s NEWS!
For this week’s NEWS; The NEWS Live Tour 2012 ~Utsukushii Koi ni Suruyo~ which started August is almost ending. Tomorrow, Saturday, we’ll be in Hiroshima Green Arena. We’ll be having live twice there, so we’re very excited. And when this is done, there’s only Sapporo left. So we hope we do the last concert really good.
And I’ll be changing the topic now, but we did the 3rd Masuda High. This is the contest for the mini 4-wheel-drive, by the way. And for the results, I placed 2nd. I think this was the same with the last time? I was 2nd place in the previous one too. So I got 2nd place again this time. I was the one who opened this contest and maybe I’m destined to not win? I have this characteristic where I pretend to go fast. The one who got first place in the previous one is the one I lost to this time. The last time, I almost won and we got course-out so the one who was 3rd place ended up winning first place. It was regretting~! I would have been able to win if I didn’t get out of the course. So that’s how I reasoned out. And in the 3rd one, I was sure I’d lose. His name’s N-san. He was really fast. Yeah~. Well this time, I feel like I lost properly. And we’re planning for the 4th one already and I hope I can make a machine that everyone will go, “That’s fast.” This time, we tried out a new course. I think it’s called bank? It’s like a bridge. The course is like a bridge and it requires stability to be able to let the 4WD run. As for me, mine was made heavy, but I was able to somehow clear it. I’ll be aiming first place for the 4th one, so please let me update you on that.
Now, please listen to NEWS’ Chankapana.
(Song: Chankapana)
This is Masuda Takahisa’s Master Hits from Bayfm. The song was NEWS’ Chankapana.
This is Masuda Takahisa’s Master Hits from Bayfm. Now, I would like to introduce some mails.
First is from Sachi-chan: “I went to NEWS’ last concert in Kobe. It was my first time attending a NEWS concert and outdoor so it was really, really great! I was also surprised that the Wrestler Yoshida was there too! By the way, you tripped, right? Are you okay?”
Thank you so much! It was the first time to attend a NEWS concert? I’m very happy! Thank you so much. And it says here, “By the way, you tripped, right?” Well it was outdoor in Tokyo’s Chichibunomiya and Kobe’s Hotto Motto and there was a fountain on the stage set. So on top of the stage, there’s water coming out. So maybe the set got wet and it was slippery. Well I was sliding even if I were far, but it was slippery also in the feet. I think I was sliding normally in Chichibunomiya, but in Hotto Motto, I was also sliding. I was trying to be careful, but I tripped. I fell on my butt and in Kobe, my fall was like how a skater would trip. I don’t totally trip at first, but on the last, I totally fall. But I had no wound, so I’m so glad. But I slid. And in Kobe, I slid a lot even from afar. I feel like I was tripping everywhere. But it was a nice memory too.
Next is from Chiee-chan:“Massu, good evening.” Good evening. “I heard that you drink herbal tea during concerts. What kind of herbal tea do you drink? Please let me know.”
Ahhh~… Someone introduced the herbal tea to me and I heard it was good for the throat. And herbal teas are bactericidal. So I think it clears the throat? So I think it’s important? I’m not very familiar, but I was told that this brand was good, so that’s what I’m drinking. When I drink it, I feel like I can relax too. Lately, that’s what I drink. During live, I drink herbal tea and water and sports drink usually.
Next is from Kumi-chan: “I was able to participate in Niigata [con]! I was able have a lot of nice memories. We were able to get a lot of the gold tape and my friends got a lot of those and we were talking about making [a curtain like thingy] and we all laughed about it. Do you have any idea how we can use them?”
In the live, there are gold tapes that [are used like confetti] and they collect those. So now, this is about what to do with them after. Well when I went to a different artist’s live [concert], there were gold tapes that rained on me. So I got one and kept it in my pocket. I’ve been putting that on our fridge. But to use it for something? I wonder~… maybe you can put it on the screw of the electric fan and let it blow there. But I wonder. Maybe you can decorate [the cardboard thingies] on the toilet paper and display them. It’s interior-ish. Maybe that would be good. What else? The amount might not be right but maybe you can stick it on the mount of the frame that you might put for posters or something. Then you go to different concerts and you can collect more. But I think the best is on the electric fan. But it might be too long, so the wind might not go through everything. It might get dragged on the ground and it might be like a willow tree. But maybe you can curl it and keep it.
Next is Yuuri-chan: “Massu, good evening.” Good evening. “Instead of going to the beaches, I spent my whole summer like the usual days. But I still got sunburned a lot. You do outdoor concerts, but why are you so white? If you do anything to stay white, please let me know.”
I see. But you just go out a bit like walking to the station or going out with your friends, I think you’d really get sunburned. Well this year, I didn’t go out so much and for the live, we usually had rehearsals on a really hot day, but I didn’t want to get sunburned much. So I put sun-block only on my face and wear long-sleeves and put towel on my head. I thought if the sunlight directly hit me, I might get tired easily, so I made sure I made shade for myself with like white towel on my head and cool up a lot. Well it’s summer. I hope I can also go to the beach, get sunburned, eat ramen, eat kakigoori, swim, and do other stuff next summer.
Next is Gucchon-chan: “I am enjoying the radio program!” Thank you so much! “I am very happy to hear that you’re starting a drama in October. And even a drama about resident doctors! I am a surgeon from the university hospital. When I started as a resident, I had a lot of problems and it was difficult. But as time went by, I’ve learned to get trained. I’m very excited to see what kind of resident you’ll be. Please talk more about the new drama.”
So I got this kind of mail. Thank you so much! Yes, starting October, I’ll be in the drama ‘Resident ~Gonin no Kenshuui~’. And I read the script of this drama and it’s very interesting! I wonder. Well, more than of a hero, it’s like each doctors have their own problems too and it’s about how each of them face each other and it’s a realistic drama. And the human relations and how each of them grow are portrayed. I’ll be playing as Manaka Junichi and my character is from a family of doctors. From generation to generation, they’re all doctors and I’m the heir. So my character has been growing up to be a doctor, but has a lot of problems and commits mistakes and grows. Well, everyone has a drama of their own and most of them are adult actors/actresses and they’re all so good. So I’m sure I’ll be learning a lot of things from them and I hope I can act realistically. This is starting October on TBS, Thursdays at 9pm. Please do check it out.
Please listen to the next song; NEWS’ Endless Summer. (OMGGGGG MASSU, WHY THIS SONG JUST WHEN FALL IS COMING??? HUHUHU Y U DO THIS TO ME ;__;)
(Song: Endless Summer)
Masuda Takahisa’s Masterpiece!
Everyone has that one song they know. In the train, airplane, anytime anywhere, there’s music. I love music as much as I love eating. I can’t live without music. In this portion, I will be introducing one song of my selection as masterpiece. Today, I picked this song;
(Song: Kaede by Spitz)
This was Masuda Takahisa’s Master Hits from Bayfm. The song was Spitz’s Kaede.
Just recently, I wanted to sing this in the karaoke and I didn’t know everything totally, but I thought I’ll be able to sing it, but I wasn’t able to. And I thought it was unacceptable for me to not be able to sing such a nice song, so I’ve been listening to it lately. I really want to sing this in karaoke. When I sing this in the karaoke, I might give this atmosphere like, “Oh, Masuda is serious.” But it’s a really nice song and I would like to practice this to be able to sing it in the karaoke. So I hope you all check this song out too.
[I REALLY REALLY WANT TO HEAR MASSU SING THIS *A* It’s a really really nice song :3 And I’m sure Massu will own this *A*]
