I want to know if anyone has ever heard of Isabel Allende?  Right now I'm nearly finished with De Amor y de sombra.  It takes place in Chile and it has to do with Pinochet's dictatorship, and the relationship between Irene and Francisco.  I really hate reading love stories, honestly, I can't stand it, but it's much more than simply just that.  I

Isabel Allende is an awesome author... I have all her books, but I also love Marquez just as much as I own all his books as well.
