Jim needs a guide and he trying to get Blair to help him. I believe Blair had a Sentinel before him and he died (health issues) and he's young, so this is a AU. He hasa bet snake (poisinous) but with Blair's karma (so to speak) they get along. The other boy's father is still watching out for him I believe. Grrr! I know I've read this. I think Simon convinces Blair to meet Jim and the first thing Jim does is go all primal on Blair who freaks out. Later, Blair is really controlling and Jim lets him set all the limits because he feels he owes Blair for agreeing to help him at all. I think Simon and even Jim's father thinks he should let Blair call the shots.

I hate when I can't remember a story! I'll keep looking but maybe someone will remember for us!

Sorry I meant to say Simon and Jim's dad don't think Blair should call the shots, that he's being too controlling of Jim.

LOL I saw your posting on TSStoryfinders -- good job. It's so funny that I haven't read Magpie in years and then just about a month ago I had re-read it. I have GOT to get into the habit of noting what the stories are about.
