(LJ wouldn't let me leave a comment at the fic page so I'll just put it here.)

She asked him to do it and he did it because he trusts her above everyone else - including himself.

Just lovely. Heartbreaking, but lovely.

Nice to see you playing in the fic end of the pool again!

I thought that was just me! Have you got your comment settings somehow different at catsfiction, sensiblecat?

What you described below happened to me too!

I thought maybe SC had disabled comments at her fic page only to see this morning the problem was with me (or LJ, I guess). I hope she gets the message either way. :-)

Oh yes! Much more satisfying fix, too, than the one in my head I never got round to writing (in which Donna insisted she'd rather die and, in the end, Ten let her, in his arms).

I'm guessing we may at least have your recent trip to MAAD to thank for this one? ;-)

BTW I tried to leave this comment over at catsfiction, but LJ is for some reason having a hissy fit, wanted me to enter my LJ username to comment - although I'm logged in - and then when I did and hit Post Comment, kept saying "You did not enter your Livejournal username". Sheesh!)

Sorry about that - it's a very long time since I used that journal and I'm surprised you all remembered me! i've fixed things now.

I hope you don't mind my commenting here, because your journal there is set to friends-only commenting.

Hurrah for you writing again! I think this is how Donna's story should have ended, with Ten taking the Time Lord consciousness and regenerating. I'd love to watch Donna and Eleven happily roam across the universe.

(I have a tiny nitpick: for And what about Mum? And Wilf?, I think Donna should be calling Wilf 'Gramps' there?)

Good point about Gramps/Wilf - that will teach me to write in a hurry and then go on holiday (replying by iPod in darkest Cornwall).

I do think Eleven and Donna might just work!

For some strange reason, I can't leave a comment with the fic itself, so here's what I was going to say!

I was away when you posted this hence my tardiness :-)

I love Donna's stream-of-consciousness internal babbling and this -
He died for his friends

is so true.

Nicely done.

Thanks very much. I thought I'd fixed the commenting problem but a lot of people seem to be struggling with LJ right now.

Just watched Miracle Day. Phew. Who'd be Jack, eh?

Indeed. I haven't really said much about MD, but I'm enjoying it. Mostly, I find the premise a fascinating one and not something that's been done before.

I've got out of the habit of (over)analysing TV shows over the summer!
