Ha ha, the Henry/Brand scenario could totally happen in Marvel, too.

It so could. Only then their child would probably grow up to at least teenage years if not adult years at super speed. :)

Also the media would have a field day and not buy into that lab story but speculate on their torrid affair, or whether they're both covering for Tony and the kid is one of his illegitimate offsprings.

I so want Kate to do the press conference.

Hee! I love all the Marvel answers. I'm pretty sure I've had conversations about Henry/David -- they're too similar to actually work as a couple, but I'd love to see them have a conversation. (Henry, of course, usually goes for the incredibly screwed-up, and I am fairly certain he would have had an affair with Billy at some point in the past, if any Six Feet Under crossover were to happen.)

Also, I love that your Henry/Brand explanation is really similar to my "Next Avengers" fanwank involving Natasha Romanov and Steve Rogers.

Agreed, and same here. As for Henry/Billy in the past, I can see that. Actually, what I can also see is that when the Order is put together and Tony and Pepper are looking for celebrities who also want to be superheroes, Billy suggests it to Brenda as a way to deal with her post- Nate's death- situation. After all, she is Charlotte Light and Dark, and he's a relatively well known artist. (Also it's not like the Marvelverse does't have precedence for, err, close siblings on a super hero team.)

Next Avengers: you mean there is a comic in which Steve and Natasha hasve a child?

Ooh. I would TOTALLY read about Billy and Brenda as superheroes. That's amazing.

As for Next Avengers -- it's a movie, actually, an animated feature about the children of the Avengers. There's Hank and Jan's son, Thor's daughter, Black Panther and Storm's son, Hawkeye's son, and, inexplicably, the son of Captain America and Black Widow -- who were apparently a couple in this universe. (The son's name is James, which IS very appropriate.) When the Avengers were battling Ultron, they sent Tony off to protect the children, and all the Avengers except Tony subsequently died in the fight. So Tony's been raising the children ever since, full of guilt, and they have adventures. It's actually really adorable.

But my brain absolutely cannot wrap its head around Steve and Natasha being a couple, much less Natasha voluntarily getting pregnant, so I've invented a backstory (with the help of caia_comica in which the child was actually lab-created by a supervillain trying to make a supersoldier. My invented backstory only gets angstier from there ( ... )

Then our minds really thought along similar lines.:) That movie sounds worth watching. Why is it Tony makes such a tempting target for writers to guilt trip? :) :)

Billy and Brenda: With their Nathaniel and Isabel past, you know they'd totally be tempted to at least try the supherhero life. What do you think their powers should be?

...and now I'm wondering about a Torchwood AU in which Alex instead of Gwen is the cop who gets recruited into Torchwood. (While Gwen ends up in the early 80s with Gene Hunt & Co.)

AND NOW SO AM I. I am so completely in love with this idea, I find it hard to express through words. I shall try interpretive dancing! _o/ \o/ \\o

Alex originally only said yes because she correctly deduced he needed therapy.

AHAHA YES. Seriously, that would be the greatest AU.

It's not that I can't see Alex having a one night stand with Owen under certain circumstances - let's face it, the two guys she had sex with in s1 weren't paragorns of humanity, either, plus she can canonically be attracted to a surly issue ridden guy who infuriate her, ahem - but her one night stands were people outside work. Owen she'd have to work with on a daily basis, and it's obvious he really does need therapy, so she'd treat him more like Ray.

Meanwhile, I think Gwen would take to the time travel/I'm now in the 80s thing pretty well, but she would probably have more of a daughter-father thing with Gene instead of an UST thing, and she'd absolutely resent being forced to work in London instead of Wales.:)
