What a neat idea! I know so many talented writers (yourself included), so I know that I'll have a hard time limiting this to just one.

andrastewhite was the first friend I made on LJ, mainly through her X-Men fan fiction, and specifically because of her excellent, nuanced portrayal of Xavier (who had already fascinated me for quite some time, but she was also the first writer I ever saw contend with both his virtues and his flaws so gracefully). "Ten Thousand Candles" remains one of my favorite pieces of fiction to come out of the second movie. We love you, 'Draste!

Same here. Otherwise it seemed to be either "Evil!Xavier" all the way, or he was an angelic version of Martin Luther King. We're lucky to have her!
