Penny Dreadful: Titan Books will do a comics prequel, which on the one hand, yay, on the other, will the medium be able to catch the glorious screwed upness of the Vanessa and Malcolm relationship, which, let's be real, is what I most want from a prequel?

Thanks for that lovely Tolkien essay. I still maintain that Ursula K. Le Guin's essay on his use of language and rhythm is the most intelligent thing anyone has ever written about Tolkien. I wish it were more often reproduced!

Also the rudeness to Jenny Beavan is bizarre.
