Just to clarify -- I can alter them and redistribute as long as they're NOT still just bases? (and of course, as long as I credit, which I always do)

Sorry if that seems like a dumb question - I belong to several icon-related comms that all have different rules and individuals always have different rules as well and I don't want to improperly use them.

it's not dumb, better than accidentally breaking someone's rules and making them stop making graphics or so^^" (I'm not too tight about rules myself, but it can make a crappy day even crappier if certain rules get broken too often)

to answer your question: yes, you can edit them as much as you want to and then post them as icons (or put them into banners or whatever), but when you post them please don't write that people can alter those icons - I only recently added that rule, as I saw some people posting icons made out of my bases and allowing people edit them further (with crediting them, even though I was the one finding the images, cropping and clearing them up)

Ok, I just want to clarify further to be absolutely sure. We're allowed to use these and make icons and then repost them as icons for others to use, so, long as we credit the bases to you. Correct or Wrong?

all I want is that you don't write "textless icons may be used as bases" or something similar, if those textless icons were made from my bases (or exclude the bunch made from my bases from that rule). other than that, you may make icons and spread them all over the internet as you please (and credit in your resources post or wherever you put all the credit is totally fine, you don't have say which icons were made from whose bases)
