Knowing you, I am actually shocked - shocked! - that you have not had occasion until now to use the "fangirl" and "academia" tags together.

It's surprising until you think about the fact that I didn't start this LJ until academia wasn't treating me particularly well (namely, senior year at Bryn Mawr, while I was in the midst of a thesis and navigating grad school applications the first time).

But given that I'm working with Rosetta Stone and applying to an amazing Ph.D. program, I think I'll be using them together quite a bit.
