Laharl was, well, bored. Really, really bored, not to mention annoyed. A bad combination any time when it came to the young Overlord, but this place had him in a particularly foul mood. The lack of a way back to the Netherworld was pissing him off more and more. He needed to get back. Who was going to watch the Netherworld while he was gone? Flonne?!
Ugh. This sucked.
Wandering from the room he'd claimed as his own, he slumped on the couch with an unhappy groan.
Oh yeah, the prince had been pretty mopey lately, hadn't he? She could practically see the dark cloud over his head. "You know, Prince, if you're really that bored, you can just start bothering people over these things." She held up the handheld and gave it a little shake from side to side.
Now that she thought about it, she needed to do a little bit more of it herself. Some of the people here really had neon signs over their heads.
Perhaps the odd man out here, Negi was glad that Beauty Queen Etna had allowed him to stay. He had a feeling it was because he was the one running most of the errands and doing house keeping but that was really besides the point. He may have hated chores, but it did give him time to think about various things...there was a certain pleasure in the monotony of it. Plus, he's been able to experiment with cleaning spells.
...Which he wasn't very good at and many times led to more messes than anything. Like now when he'd been trying to clean up the bathroom and the soap bubbles had gotten out of hand and were completely filling the room. Negi stumbled out of the bathroom trailing liquid suds onto the carpet, rubbing his neck sheepishly, "Uhm...might want to stay out of there until the bubbles back down." He noticed Laharl moping on the couch, "Is something wrong?"
*headdesks* I think I dreamt I tagged this...overlords_wrathOctober 11 2010, 20:06:30 UTC
"I guess," Laharl muttered, not particularly enthused about the idea. Sure, there were plenty of idiots, but that only offered so much entertainment.
The boy didn't get a chance to say anything else he might have said to Etna, as he instead glanced to Negi with an raised eyebrow. Bubbles?
Laharl wasn't exactly sure what to make of the mage as of yet, on the one hand, he seemed to be a somewhat capable vassal and yet, on the other hand, he seemed like a pretty bumbling mage. Then again, even though Flonne was pretty proficient with her magic, if she knew any 'cleaning spells', he couldn't imagine them going particularly well either.
Dammit. Why was he thinking about the Love Maniac?
"No... nothing's wrong," he muttered. Nothing except everything.
