As I told you, this was absolutely beautiful. I loved the way you made the slow transition from accidental meeting to respect. He was introduced to the man Sheppard was by the marines in the mess hall, and then to the real person, the strength, during the aftermath of Sheppard meeting Ford again. And of course the exasperation at doing all the paperwork. Seriously, thank you so much.

And doesn't *that* seem to be the consensus! Poor Lorne...or maybe lucky Lorne, since he finally got to go to Atlantis?

*Giggles* Yes, that really is the fannish consensus. But you know? It also means that as long as Sheppard runs the Atlantis Military Lorne can do anything short of converting to Wraith worship and never get written up (and he might even be able to get away with that, as long as it was only on his off-duty hours).
