Sophronia and Fidelia are fabulous names :D

Buffy is doing a great job of thinking on her feet <3

"She said in a tone that was a little too excited for Buffy's liking, "Do you have amnesia?""
Ahaha, Fidelia likes her fic tropes :)

"Her manners are rather uncouth."
I bet they are.

I love Buffy's points of reference for sounding stuffy/haughty!

"Buffy translated the Giles speak"
omg, this is great :))

I am terribly terrible at naming (one of the reasons fanfic appeals to me over OF), and I spent a lot of time looking at popular Victorian names. I'm glad they work for you.

Amnesia is always exciting!

I love your comments. Thank you!

I love that Buffy catches on so quickly and understands what's happening. I thought Sophronia was going to be Giles's great aunt from the comics. Loving this fic!

Ooh, I forgot about Auntie Sophronia. I picked the name from a list of popular Victorian names... and I've since noticed it being used several times in fanfic. I guess we all think alike. Thanks!

Glad that Buffy was picked up by what looks like a nice family. I'm sure Giles will be pleased that Buffy's first thought was of him as her guardian. (I suspect it was not *just* because of his good British name.)

Servant Buffy has been done far better than I could hope to manage. The poor girl deserves a break in Victorian time travel fanfics! There's definitely some strong feelings for Giles there. Thanks!

This could have gone a LOT worse for Buffy. (Nighttime, vampires, less scrupulous rescuers, or - gasp - French-speakers!) I wonder if chaos is really the ruling factor here. I'm almost feeling...inevitability? A drawing toward order?

I love the Dawnishness of Fidelia, who appreciates the drama of the situation. Of course, Sophronia immediately worried about rapine, so maybe it runs in the family?

Buffy is thinking very quickly for all that she's got injuries and is facing something nearly impossible to contemplate. I do hope she gets over this idea that haughtiness = good manners. That'll wear on her saviors, PDQ.

I am enjoying this so much!

I agree, French-speakers absolutely would've been the worst in Buffy's mind! Ethan's machinations were going too well for it to just be chaos and coincidence, I think.

Fidelia is definitely meant to be echoes of the Dawn that isn't.

That Edwin guy did not make a good first impression on Buffy (or vice versa), that's for sure.

Thanks!
