Yes, I understand, which is why I never start posting until I'm either done or within sniffing distance of the end. I just really never want to leave something as a wip.

Aww, so sweet! I'd have thought Spike'd be better at Whac-A-Mole than that, but the fact that he got beat by a 12 year old was pretty adorable. Very nice to think of Buffy getting some version of Mr. Gordo back too. :) Thanks for sharing, and good luck on finishing the fic! 250,000 words is already pretty huge and you've still got a long ways to go? Wow. Much respect.

Well, in Spike's defense, Buffy was distracting him the first couple of times. :)

And, yes, my muse isn't good at short fics (anything under 100k words), so this is usually my plight! Lots of time writing with only one story to show for it. But, it is what it is. I have very little control of him and even less when the characters start doing stuff i hadn't planned on!

Fair enough! And I definitely enjoyed it, don't get me wrong. :)

And yeah, I can relate. My problem is that most of my fic ideas tend to be long-form, but so far I only seem to be able to actually finish short ones. So I've got at least four or five longfics that I've started, but haven't gotten anywhere near close enough to done that I feel comfortable starting to post.

Also, I like that you refer to you muse as "him". Classically they're female, but given that your muse is probably mostly related to a certain fictional character, the "he/him" pronouns make sense!

Oh my, that would make me so crazy to have so many wips! But I know that's a very common thing to have happen. I get crazy with just the one outstanding, honestly ... especially if my muse gets silent for very long and starts to scare me that it will be left unfinished.

Yes, my muse is absolutely a 'him', I call him 'Blue Boy' or 'BB' for short cos of those blue eyes. Gee, i wonder who that might be? haha!
