I knew pumpkin spice coffee was hellmouth related. Thank you for the confirmation! And Joyce and Buffy and the bad tea brewing are adorable. As is Joyce getting her old costume out for Spike. I love her gentle soft spot for Spike.
Wait, wait, IS SOMEONE GOING TO GO BACK IN TIME AND UNDO OUR REALITY STAR PRESIDENT??? Please please. I’ll go, even if it means I undo myself in the process and can never come back.

Bless little axe-toting Buffy.
"I’m starting to feel like there’s a pattern here. Open your heart to someone and he bails on you." Oh, I'm so glad that Buffy is talking to Joyce about this!
“Well, does he have a costume?” WOLF COSTUME, WOLF COSTUME, bring out the Chekhov's wolf costume!
"eyes doing that soft, glowy thing that made her insides tumble" oh, that thing <3 ( ... )

I had heart-in-throat for the rustley bushes/vanishing Spike moment. Oh no! Chipped again? No, just making an entrance. Or, you know maybe there is something more going on in that moment, still to be revealed?
He seemed defensive, brittle almost, falling back on his special brand of Spikeish bravado to protect himself, and when the hell did she get to know him so well that she could analyze him like that?
When indeed?
This is fabulous, but I am on the edge of my pilates ball, wanting to know what happens at the party! (Mostly to see if this Spike - whoever he is - is more afraid of his wolfish side or his William side. Hmmmm?)

That Spike vanishing moment was a bit worrying though. I had some theories about what happened, but they were disproved as the story continued, so I am without a clue now. Very intriguing!
