Lol...love the part about Buffy wishing he had fleas! And groveling and realizing that the babies weren't hers. You're doing a wonderful job blending the animal types with the characters!

Re: "blending the animal types with the characters": I did a fair bit of agonizing over this, so I'm very glad to hear some of it worked for you.

Hell no, I'm not up to doing meerkat Smashed! :D I wouldn't even do regular Smashed, so... the world is safe. Ish.

And such a great reason for Cobra!Spike to have to stay out of the sun - an albino! Ha, also explains the white - um, skin. Smart!
I love how you manage to pick characteristics of each person and transfair them into charaseristics typical for the respective animal, and it really is recognizable who is who. I especially loved this:
'She fixed some landslides at the burrow entrance and then sunned in the slanting morning light, while her lover combed her hair with his big, manly teeth. ' - after Buffy did some work for the group to keep them all safe he tends to her and combs her hair (which he probably is obsessed with *g*)
Really loved these!

Thanks for telling me your favorite line! ^^ It's extra interesting this time, because you definitely have a deeper connection with that line than I did writing it. I love that it works for you!

Indeed. But they definitely manage to complement each other: he can cool her, she can warm him. Plus, the all-important sharing of the childcare!
Spike reminded himself what he was. A cold-blooded killer!
So you are. Yet, perhaps you don't really enjoy being alone with the eggshell corpses? Just a thought.
Nifty!
