When I was 24 and broke I wanted to start my own business. I had just gotten out of college but wanted to do something completely different than what I studied for. The only pieces of furniture I owned were a futon and a clock radio. I literally had nothing

Lol, that would be pretty fucked up. (none of the roomies know about my LJ)

At this point, I hope he got in the hands of someone who could give him a great home....as the next few months showed, I was nowhere near financially stable enough to care for him.

And yes, I would have.
But in all honesty, not knowing was the worst part.

I didnt have many of you coming over pleading your case to see what I should have done with him. And as you'll recall, I didn't go out and adopt him, I did it to keep him from going to the pound.
