I met Glen Cook at a con before the post-trilogy books started coming out. I asked him if Croaker and the Lady would have a kid, meaning, is the new series Black Company: The Next Generation. He couldn't say at first but later saw me at the con suite and came over and whispered he thought it wouldn't be too bad a spoiler and said they were going to have a daughter. At which point I realized, WHOOPS, BIG SPOILER, MISTER.

I like the first three books so much more than the others. I liked the sparceness of the writing, I liked that things moved really fast. I felt like I was watching a war movie that happened to be set in a fantasy universe. If he were writing the initial trilogy today I'm sure that it would take many more books, especially once they go to the Plains of Fear. There'd have to be one with them setting up shop, a whole book of guerilla action, maybe a third one before getting down to The White Rose proper...

It's not a huuuuge spoiler exactly, other than 1/3 of the series will revolve around it. In fact, I probably would have been disappointed to know beforehand, then read how it turns out ( ... )

I felt I got the plain of fear's weirdness, eventually. It was just a big chunk of somewhere else that got dropped onto that planet.

I'd like to have seen the rise and fall of The Domination. Man, those would have been some interesting court politics to observe.

Yeah, I suppose the lack of explanation, or really of even wondering by anyone, made it tough for me to accept.

Interesting? It was Soldiers Live, I believe, where Soulcatcher says how she'll put them in cages, suspended where everyone can see, put the cages in glass orbs and let them drown in their own waste. It was something she'd seen the Dominator do before.

Yeah, I guess you could say that's interesting. :)
