It could be because the last thing I remember before waking up here was pushing Mou Hitori no Boku out of control of my body so that the seal would take my soul.

It only needed one of us and I wasn't about to let it take him.

Where I'm from, there's this card game called "Duel Monsters". For a few of us, however, the card game isn't really that much of a game, it's... real. One of the cards my other played had the side effect where the soul of the loser is forfeit. I couldn't let them take him, so I switched places with him, to let it take me instead.

Apparently to stop an ancient evil three thousand years or so ago, from what we've managed to piece together. Mou Hitori no Boku doesn't remember anything from back then, so he doesn't know exactly what happened.
