I am sure it was as lovely in Japanese as it is in English. It is a masterpiece, after all.

[To his credit, Bran at least listens all the way through. This girl is a lot more enthusiastic about music than his sisters ever were, which he supposes isn't so bad, but he still scrunches his face up after she finishes singing.]

Is that a love song?

One of the most well known ones! Though to be exact it's a song about an unrequited, rather tragic love.

I've never heard of it.

Why would you want to sing about that?

My experience with singing and dancing is pretty much limited to 16+ club dancing and black magic wielding demons, so the chances of me helping with that are pretty close to no.

But entertainment-wise... I'm guessing my world's is pretty much your world's. Mindnumbing boobtube and all.

Every world enjoys a decent song, girl. I expect that is a constant from place to place.

However, on my world, such things are generally performed by a traveling bard and perhaps presented between farces and mummer's shows. Assuming we speak only of the gentler forms of entertainment, of course.

And what purpose would there be in going to see them when they ought to be coming to see you?

[ She couldn't think of anyone more disagreeable right now. Well except for Coach Sylvester. ]

Because where I live in modern times, art is well appreciated and performing artists give their songs and live performances all that they have, which is why people always come to see and pay money to hear them! Artists should celebrate their creation not to go around because they have to.
