[There is a little sigh.]

I wish the children here would be a little less malicious. In a way, it's not surprising: there has always been cruelty in children. Still, it doesn't seem too much to ask that they not toss projectiles around.

It seems that the skies have grown tumultuous this evening. Those ( Read more... )

Yes, that is true. Although that can be a little discouraging, too. I don't like to think about the kind of malicious talk they must be hearing at home.

Ah. Well, in a way it's all the more reason to be kind to them.

Ah, it's just children acting out their parents' concerns. I don't think we need to blame them for it.

And I do believe that the only way to undo these... impressions of us is to give the new generation reason to doubt what they've heard.

They're children; they're egotistical and immature, and wouldn't stop even if their parents told them to, which I don't think they're doing.

Yes, that's what I thought as well.

Of course, they learn from their parents as well.

Yes.

Theoretically, the best way to educate them would be to for us to prove how peaceful and friendly we all are. Of course, each of us would have to be peaceful and friendly in the first place. If it hasn't happened before, I doubt it'll happen now, after these little incidents.

I agree with that, too, yes.

I guess the next idea is to at least prove that we aren't all dangerous, so at least they may begin to question their initial assumptions.

I didn't think you would be bothered by a little pain.

Pain's not the problem! I welcome pain! In fact if I got bleach in a cut I'd say I very well wouldn't mind at all.

It's irritation I hate. Like a fuckin' rash, yeah?

It will be fine. Aside from a bit of a mess on the windows, of course.

I'm not going to kill anyone, if that's what you're implying.

[Sasori sounds a little wearier than usual.]

Children can be far crueler than adults. I didn't think anything could be more obnoxious than the birds, but the local brats have proven me wrong.

And that's certainly some sound advice.

They can be, yes. Still, their malice is as deep as that of adults.
