● ● ════════════════════ 【 FIRST ARC 】 ════════════════════It only seems like a very brief rest you have undergone. You wake up, still somewhat tired and groggy and in response you try to wipe the sleep from your eyes. When your vision comes into focus... you find that you are not in the same place in which you had nodded off.
But don't panic; here you will live in the city of Scelti, comprised of ten total sections and twenty-two total paths to get to wherever you wish to go. This city, or rather this different world that you have been brought to, is actually thought to be reduced to "nothingness". As a domed city, they've managed to preserve nature within it, so Scelti does have trees and flowers--as well as a lake. But outside of the domed city... well, that's a different story.
This is why you were brought to Scelti, because they want life to be maintained so that it can once again be propagated in that world, so it can no longer be "nothingness". After all, you're human, and the human soul mirrors the Divine. You can look at it in a way that you're rats being studied by higher entities. Well, they're human--just slightly more evolved than you are. That is why it is going to be stressed that you continue your normal lives--maybe even adapt new ones to suit this new environment. Don't you worry--there were many things salvaged for your needs and personal enjoyment even if you're always being watched.
However, there are also various tests that one must undergo while they are citizens of Scelti where one occurs once per week. Together, there are four tests: the Test of "Enamnation", the Test of "Creation", the Test of "Formation", and the Test of "Action". If you are able to pass all four tests, you will be able to return to your own world as the "Adam Soul". As the primeval Soul thought to contain all human souls, this is most likely to grant you god-like power as well.
Tempting, isn't it?
● ● ════════════════════ 【 SECOND ARC 】 ════════════════════But death is not avoidable within this city. Not only are you going to have to pass tests, you are going to have to not hesitate to kill people around you. The reason being is that the more people that arrive to the city as citizens, the closer danger may reap the city. If a certain population threshold is broken, the city will be destroyed. But since killing for the most part is just not the right thing to do (it's not kosher!), the higher-ups will have ways to fix this. Only the strong will survive.
But don't you worry-- once you die, you will be thrown into a well that leads to the Chamber of the Guf. Here you will travel through the Hall of Souls, lead by a sparrow with a red tail. It is in itself a test for you to pass in order to get your physical body back, as well as being able to walk in daylight once more. That is, if you really want to return to such a surface.
If you are, however, unable to pass through the Hall of Souls by the end of the month you are first there, and then you will begin to lose parts of your memory--even if you are thrown into the well towards the very end of the month. After that, the longer you are in there, the more your memory will begin to deteriorate. It's a run against time if you don't want to forget all you've been fighting for back home!
In other words... you're never going to get bored in this city.
● ● ════════════════════ 【 CREATING CR 】 ════════════════════Within your rooms, you will be given a very small electronic device that operates as what you would recognize to be a laptop. It's called the Contrivance, but aside from that you can call it whatever you want--just make sure it likes what it's being called. You will find that cursing at your miniature laptop is one of the worst things you can do, as well as smacking it so it can go faster, because it can respond to these and decide not to work for you. Be nice to it, okay? It's a sensitive little gadget.
With your Contrivance you will be able to achieve a large variety of ways to make posts. This includes "Voice" through a microphone on your device, "Video" through a built-in cam, and "Written" through, well, its keyboard. Through this you can build character relations without having to leave your room. This doesn't mean you can't take your Contrivance wherever you go--because you can. Just make sure you don't lose or break it.
When you leave your room and travel the city, your only means of transportation will be to walk. It's during this that you can speak and interact with other people through "Action" posts. Don't worry, the city is not too incredibly big that it will be impossible to get where you want to go, so "Action" posts don't have to be too regulated. Just be mindful of where your character may hail from and what paths they may have took because you might feel a bit strange afterward from all that walking...
