I liked the little touches - iEverything (lol), He had to admit that everyone else seemed vaguely interested at best., and the details of his parents, accepting on the surface but not really accepting (his brother not bothering to show).
And this - And Wilson would forgive him - because he always does, and honestly if he wants to be with House he needs this ability, because House is always going to do something that needs forgiveness.
Very nice character study of the two of them with your usual spot on dialogue and banter. I'm glad you decided to expand on your story :)

I really felt sorry for Wilson at the beginning - it's hard not to identify with the trope of the gilted-at-the-altar bride; even though he is right, House should have figured this out earlier. And then a miracle occurs: House apologizes. Simply and explicitly. That "I'm sorry" in the middle of their usual no nonsense conversation was a perfect answer to Wilson's earlier "I love you".
I like the idea that even House can be influenced by other people's criticism, disapproval, or disinterest - and yet, they both make it right in the end, and will have a wedding that is about the two of them, and no one else.
Brilliant! Thank you so much for not forgetting jilted Wilson alone with his fading buttonhole flower.

I'm so glad you thought that b/c I intended for the "I'm sorry" to really be House's response to the "I love you." :)
I didn't have the heart to leave Wilson stranded at the altar like that. Thanks so much for your comments!

Some of my favorites:
“Repeatedly,” House said, starting to shed his veil of contriteness. “You marked it on my calendar, put it in my iPhone, in my iEverything. The sticky notes on my cane were a nice touch.”
You told everyone at the hospital-the janitors, even-that you’re finally making an honest woman of me.
“What? You think I want to marry you for the nagging rights?”
Wilson laughed softly. It felt good. It was only about a half-hour ago that he couldn’t imagine laughing. House did that to him. Made him furious, then made him laugh. Made him actually admit to feeling things.
Thank you for the delightful bit of fluff. I needed some cheering up this morning.

This fic really put me through the wringer, emotionally (that's a good thing, though). I had to read it a few times before I could comment. I can see House's insecurity and hatred of shallow social niceties rearing up under the pressure of a wedding and causing him to abandon ship-briefly. But of course he comes back, and of course Wilson forgives him and they end up with a much more honest ceremony.

I think it's realistic that House would skip out on the ceremony, but not on Wilson. So H had to come looking for him :)

I enjoy the fact that it's set in season 8. I wish we had more of those.
I agree. Write one, write one! (please) ;)
