Because I took the same bus at the same time a few weeks ago, I thought that I would make it to the Market Place Mall just before 9am. That did not happen. The Blue E bus hit every other red light. It stopped at every rail-road track. It also ( Read more... )

where did you see them at? do you know the streets? in all likelyhood they weren't actually "on campus" but rather were in campus town. Even if they were on campus, this is a public institution funded (in part) by the taxpayers of the state which include the bible thumpers you saw so they can pass out bibles if they're so inclined. Same thing goes for the sidewalks and streets ... they can use them if they like given that they helped pay for them ( ... )

Goddamn it. Looks like I will have to buy a bike and peddle my ass down to County Fair and catch the bus from that location. At least I won't have to spend a small fortune on fucking taxis. The bike would pay for itself in taxi fares I would pay if I didn't have the bike, regardless of price.~~Nick

A decent bike is about $80 and is worth having for its own sake regardless of use for going to work. You knew there wasn't bus service when you moved and have arrangements to get a car in the not so distant future as opposed to some of your housemates. So quit being cheap, get the bike and get on with it. :p

I am not cheap!

I am not as screwed as I thought I was. Yes, I do not have my own set of wheels. However, I can still call the shuttle bus to pick me up in McMansion Hills. And I can be picked up at the same time as Shaun because we both get off from work at the same time.

But yes, I will buy a bike. Where are the bike shops, Mister?~~Nick
