I've found that I can bike to the gym, do a quick workout and stretch, and bike back to work in an hour on my lunch break. It is soooo nice to get out of the office and do something. I went today, plus twice last week. Hauling my heavy lock back and forth sucks, but at least there is secure parking on the gym's roof.

Yes, the lock does add to total weight. Could you look on it as I view stopping for no-traffic stop signs (after I got a ticket): not completely desireable, but beneficial additional exercise?
