Hornblower Favourite Scenes Picspam

I have been on livejournal and actively involved in fandom for just over two years now, though it feels as if I've been around for ages. This is a picspam tribute to the show, and more specifically certain scenes within this show, that started it all. I owe so much to it, and to all the wonderful people in our small but very friendly fandom

God, I need to go back and watch these. I just love the amount of AWESOME that this fandom has. We get The Doctor, Lee Adama, and Lancelot! WHAT OTHER FANDOM CAN BOAST THAT, EH? :)

IKR? It's brilliant how all three of the boys have portrayed/gone on to portray some very awesome and iconic characters. Though I think Ioan Gruffud was more iconic as Wilberforce. Didn't like him as Lancelot. Hmm

Now how awesome and epically cracky would a DW/BSG/King Arthur crossover be? :D

Oh, yeah. Most definitely. I was just thinking about in in regards to his more mainstream roles. Like Lancelot. Or Mr. Fantastic. ;)

I would get on my knees and kiss the feet of someone who would be able to put that together and do it WELL. Or cracktastic. :)

You know what I would die to see? An amazing grace/hornblower fic. OMG.

Pleasure, and yes I do know why you can't bear to watch. I mean, I had a lump in my throat when I was watching it and I don't even ship them.

I love that scene on the clifftop. I love all those scenes, actually, although in some cases by "love" I mean "can't watch without crying my eyes out" although in hindsight it really is a beautiful scene to watch and I suppose it had to happen.

Also, in keeping with weird/unpopular fandom opinions, I kinda sorta maybe ship Bush/Kennedy a little bit. IDK.

What programme did you use to edit the caps? These aren't as weirdly red and fuzzy as caps from the El Ferrol scene usually are.

I find that the sad scenes are more often than not the ones that I "love" most, though not in this case because I'm not as invested in Archie's character. :D

It was definitely a necessary evil. The producers seriously shot themselves in the foot when they decided to expand on Archie's role, but at least he died a hero trying to save his friend. Not a bad way to go. *nods*

Hahahahaha have you seen black_hound's Bush/Kennedy vid set to Smooth by Rob Thomas? So, so good. ♥ ♥

I use Adobe Photoshop CS2. Maybe my photo-editing skills are just too awesome hahaha. (God I'm so un-modest)

Brilliant choices all. I think you've got my top scenes in there although I wouldn't object to the deck shower

have you really only been in fandom two years? You make me feel a very old lady, although on the hornblower front I was sneaky for a long time...
