I am having a frustrating week, since I came down with a virus. A virus, a trojan, some damn thing. A hundred and seventy two dollars to the boys down at Office Depot did not solve the problem. I had some instructions just this morning from M at Changeling, who must have been channeling my distress- two hours later I have not been sucessful, but I ( Read more... )

I know what the Tuareg are, but nevertheless the word makes me think of the VW Tuareg straightaway...

It's like Ariel - really lovely name, Shakespeare and all that. But all I think of when I hear the name is washing powder and a certain read-haired mermaid *g*

But they make the men wear the veils! How sexy is that! I have to picture them on horses, though, not camels- My silent, brooding hero is Tuareg, but modern-day- no indigo stained skin, and he's a spice merchant with a secret passion for the Zanzibar leopard- Ibrahim something something. He is going to capture the young hero!

Hi, Sarah!

Sorry to hear about your troubles.
Touch wood, I've never got a virus, I suppose because I've got a Mac ;-).

It's great to know there are more stories coming from you, computer's problems nothwithstanding. Do you always make a backup? I wouldn't like to have a story lost forever or you investing a long time in the reconstruction ot it.

As for the names: Tuareg is more specific to me (Sheik could be the name of a horse), and in general Tuareg are incredible with they blue clothes! And I like Leo.

I found Pema Chödrön's book very helpful in a moment when things *were* falling apart. Did I tell you I've got 8 hours of her speaking in a retreat? Till now I've heard half of it... I find as well all this loving kindness business very soothing. And she has got a sense of humor, she is not a kind of überserious guru.

Best Wishes!

Antonella

Leo it is! I like Tuargeg, too, because the word feels so full in the mouth- I know, weird, but I love the taste and feel of some words when I say them.

I'm on Chapter 11- Nonagression and the four maras. that's a cool word, mara- like mist, or smoke.
