If you haven't, you should really listen to the whole album. Buy it even. A lot of the songs on it are very beautiful and relaxing. However I didn't much like her second album (No Promises) and haven't heard her latest album

Ironically I first came across Carla Bruni's name as Yann Tiersen's accompanying singer in 'Le Parapluie' which turned out to be mis-attributed =P and so I haven't actually heard her before this. =D

It seems it's not her based on people's comments on YouTube =D and Yann Tiersen's wiki doesn't mention any collab with her either. From this "Quelqu'un m'a dit" and "You Belong to Me" she seems to have that distinct 'broken voice' style which is a bit different from "La Parapluie" I think?

Nooo.. she's not that bad (unless your cousin is a child singer I dunno xP). I sort of get why people don't like her character or the marriage(s) or even the songs (the 2nd and 3rd albums were not very good).. but she can sing and play the guitar and her smoky voice is sexy and unique.

Hear this..

..and I can name you a hundred worse singers who can't even sing live that well but are more popular than her. You can't believe how many times I've listened to the first album over the years^^

LOL well you can like her, but NEVER make me believe not even thinking that she's talented...but well that's cool somehow that some people like her for what she does, like that Sarko will maybe stop forcing people to buy her albums XD

yeah it's a bit different... doesn't sound as nice. I can play it, but I want to find a better version or else try to improvise.

I bought the album from ebay a few years ago :P
However I don't think rapidshare or megaupload links are too hard to find using google if you want to sample it.
