LOL! Just so you know, as I was reading the story, I got the impression that it was a small, independent publisher and that Jensen was the boss (I found out later, to my surprise, that he isn't!) and I don't think it is too unlikely for this to happen in such a small, close knit team of colleagues who are also friends. So it never crossed my mind that this was at all unrealistic!

And we meet here again. Thank you so much for reading and commenting. I did think Jensen worked for a relatively small firm, but he was not the owner. He was however the publisher of significant imprint within the firm. I imagined them printing some LGBTQI+ authors and books with those at the center. Those were the books that Jensen oversaw and as such he has great autonomy. But they also print some mystery books and sci-fi. Perhaps some political commentaries. All very well scrutinized for quality :)
