As many of you may have seen by now, LiveJournal has rolled out Release 86 this week.

This release was intended to cut down on the spambots by altering the way LJ handles cookies. What did it do instead? Opened up a massive security and privacy breach. This new release has made it possible for random users to access random accounts simply by ( Read more... )

According to some of the 200 comments on that post, the breach lasted for much longer than the stated 3 minutes.

According to what I read, people could comment as other people. Others tried logging out only to log back in and find themselves in yet another journal. I find that scary.
